Akwa Ibom State Government is gearing efforts at catapulting AKBC into a Model Broadcasting Corporation.
Akwa Ibom State Commissioner of Information, Charles Udoh KSJ made this known during a familiarization tour of facilities at Ntak Inyang Transmitting station of AKBC.
Charles Udoh said the government’s commitment in turning around the fortunes of AKBC is clearly documented in the second term Completion Agenda of Governor Udom Emmanuel which is already in the public domain.
He emphasized that the government is aware of the problems facing AKBC and is taking steps to ameliorate the poor working conditions of the station to enable AKBC to operate as a model Broadcasting station.
Udoh reiterated that, without AKBC, Akwa Ibom State Government will not be heard and therefore solicited for continued cooperation and support of staff to enable the activities and programmes of the government to remain always on the public domain through the twin Radio and TV Service of AKBC…
The Commissioner who was accompanied by the Perm Secretary, Mr. Inyang Jameson and Directors in the Ministry was received to the station by the DG, AKBC, Pastor Anietie Ukpe
