… As CP Zaki Ahmed Pays Operational Visit to Mkpat Enin

The Executive Chairman of Mkpat Enin Local Government Area, Hon. Ekanem Brown has been applauded for maintaining peace and prioritising the security of lives and properties in the area.
The Akwa Ibom state Commissioner of Police, CP Zaki Ahmed eulogised Hon. Brown when he paid a visit to the Chairman in his office in Mkpat Enin Local Government headquarters today, 26th August 2019.
CP Zaki who is the 27th Commissioner of police in the state asserted that prior to the recent disturbances by herdsmen in the area, Mkpat Enin, despite hosting a University, industries and other government assets had remained peaceful and low in crime.
The Commissioner said, “Thank you very much, Honourable Chairman, for hosting me in your office. As we all know, security is next to life, it is very important and I appreciate you for prioritising security.
“Mkpat Enin is one of the most peaceful Local Government in Akwa Ibom state. I can say that while Akwa Ibom is the most peaceful state in Nigeria, Mkpat Enin is the most peaceful Local Government Area in Akwa Ibom and that is why I decided to kick off my operational visit across the state with Mkpat Enin.
“Thank you for supporting and cooperating with your DPO, please keep up with your good works”.
On the recent violent attack by suspected herdsmen, the Police Commissioner said the state police headquarter is already working tirelessly to ensure that justice is served. He commiserated with victims and relatives of affected indigenes, pledging that he will ensure the perpetrators are apprehended.
In his response, the Council boss thanked the CP for the visit. He remarked that the visit was timely due to recent insecurity issues recorded in the area.
Speaking further, Hon. Brown promised to continue in his support and dedication to the welfare and functionality of security agencies working in Mkpat Enin especially the DPO whom he described as ‘an active and intelligent officer who responds swiftly to emergencies even at midnight’.
