The attention of the Member Representing Mkpat Enin State Constituency in the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Mr. Victor Ekwere has been brought to the sad news of the killing of Mr. Friday Udo Etor and the shooting of Mr. Nsikak Slyvanus Udo all from Ikot Obio Nso village by suspected Fulani Herdsmen who were both attacked on Thursday 8th August, 2019 while going about their normal duties in their farmlands.

The lawmaker commiserates with the people of Ikot Obio Nso community especially the families whose loved ones were either killed or attacked during the course of the provocative assault.

This is one attack too many that is totally wanton and cruel.

To forestall breakdown of law and order in the area, the lawmaker has so far met with respected leaders of the community and urged them not to take laws into their hands as he will team up with other stakeholders from the Local Government Area and the State Government to bring a lasting solution to the sad incidence.

Mr. Victor Ekwere wishes to assure members of his Constituency that he will as a matter of Urgent Public Importance take the barbaric incidence to the attention of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, immediately the 7th Assembly reconvenes after their current recess for further legislative actions.

It is the dire believe of the lawmaker that the people of Mkpat Enin who have been peace loving will not entertain any external threat that tends to push them from their ancestral home.

The lawmaker hereby calls on security agencies in the state to act swiftly in their investigations and bring the perpetrators to book within the shortest possible time.
