Hi I’m Adekanmbi Toluwanimi .
I’m a graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University.
My posting to Katsina was a shock to me and I even cried when i saw it. I braced up for the challenge ahead and Flew to Kano in other to avoid the long distance journey stress.
Unlike other corp members, no one told me how camp life was but I already made up my mind to make it fun. So far, I’ve been having fun and I’ve made a lot of cool and crazy friends . I really thank God for sending me here. The place has been fascinating, Never in my life have I been in a place where people don’t understand the simplest Yoruba word.
The funniest part is the fact that I also get lost when these people also speak their language. It’s really a wonderful experience.
Bringing different tribes together has been able to prove that most stories we hear about other tribes are actually false. Some of these people are actually the opposite of what we heard about them. the food has not been bad. Love was not part of my plans for the camp and I’m open minded in that aspect, I’m not interested in love at the moment. I’m just in for fun now. Katsina is a lovely place but I’m praying and hoping for my redeployment application to go through. It’s just too far from my love ones and everything I care about.
Feel free to tell us about your camp experience and we will post your story for our readers.
